While researching using donor sperm, I have come across all kinds of bad stories. This is something I have thought a lot about, and I really want to do it. I know my CMV status and blood type, I've looked at the genetic history, and I've read through the profiles. I know that with any pregnancy, there can be complications and possible birth defects. Did anyone else have these same concerns and worries before going through with using a donor? My most recent concern is with herpes and HPV. Can either of these be transferred to me or the baby through the donor semen? I thought they were both transferred through skin to skin contact. However, I read something earlier, and it got me thinking about it more.

    I looked for donors who have negative cmv and genetic tests which led to my final choice to with 14959. But there are risks by conceiving with a partner. I did not want to base my choice off of looks alone.
