Donor 13681
has anyone had any success with this donor?
He is really our only option as we are looking for a korean donor who is cmv negative. My first iui with this donor failed (and the post thaw count was only 5mil). I'm currently in the TWW from IUI 2 and the post thaw count was even lower (3 mil)
Just wondering if you have any information on this donor as to why his counts are so low.

@onelittlechef Donor 13681 has more than 5 reported pregnancies. (I'm not sure if any of the families are active on our Bulletin Boards.)
We do have a strict quality control process for all vials that are collected and distributed. And less than 1% of applicants actually become Cryobank donors.
If your clinic is washing IUI vials or deviating from our thawing instructions, they may be seeing different numbers from our evaluation. You can have your clinic complete a specimen report form, so we can take a further look at the vials that were thawed: https://d3hwulnyp980el.cloudfront.net/files/cryobankcom/_forms/pdf/documents/specimen-report-form.pdf
Please note that numerous studies have shown that pregnancy rates with IUIs are maximized with 5 million sperm and recent studies have shown that even less sperm is needed to achieve pregnancy. Here's more info as to how much sperm is needed to achieve pregnancy: https://www.cryobank.com/how-it-works/specimen-processing/specimen-information/
