Hi, Is it true that CCB will be providing donor sperm to Canadians? If this is true can you give me more details as to when and where?
Thank you,
Julie

Yes, we are in the process of collecting Canadian compliant vials for distribution anywhere in Canada.
The testing process is slightly different than US regulations, meaning we have to set some donations aside for Canada. This takes time. Because all donations must pass a 6 month quarantine it will take until early next year before we have a significant number of donors available. We hope to have 30-50 donors to choose from before "officially" launching in Canada.
Until then, we will slowly be building up our Canadian catalog. If you are planning to wait until next year we are more than happy to help you with your donor sperm needs. If you are starting your family sooner, you can contact our Client Services Department at 866-927-9622 and check on availability. If we have a donor that has cleared quarnatine that you are interested in we should be able to ship to your physician sooner.
The one thing to keep in mind is your physician's office may need to file a one-time letter with Health Canada saying that they are importing sperm from CCB. This is standard procedure. If you are not the first patient to use CCB, this will already be done. If you are the first, they must mail/fax the letter two weeks prior to your insemination. Feel free to email me directly for a copy of the letter for you physician if it will help.

Unfortunately, due to a conflict between the FDA and Health Canada testing regulations, we were forced to cease preparing vials for Canadian distribution. This was a very disappointing development as we had spent a lot of time and effort over the last year getting ready.
We are being told from Canadian sources that Health Canada is getting closer to altering their testing schedule to match the FDA. If and when this happens, will will begin shipping to Canada immediately.
I'm sorry I don't have better news.
Good luck,
Scott
