Donor 13708 IVF

Is there anyone out there that has used this donor? I'm getting ready to start IVF and my husband and I are really interested in this particular donor but I saw some posts about his poor counts? Is quality poor as well? Would really appreciate some insight/help, thank you!

  • @PiscesMoonMama Yes, we have a number of clients that have used Donor 13708. He has more than 5 reported pregnancies and is all sold out except for 3 pairs of IVF vials.

We have high quality standards in place and every single donation must meet those standards. (Less than 1% of applicants actually become Cryobank donors.) Here's more info on our process: https://www.cryobank.com/how-it-works/donor-qualification/

I think I saw the post that you are mentioning and the person indicated that her clinic washed the vial. When the specimen is washed prior to an IUI, some sperm will be lost. Each clinic may have their own sperm washing protocol and there is no quality control across different clinics. In this circumstance, I would have recommended to use our IUI vials which are pre-washed and have a target of 7 to 13 million sperm. You can read more about our quality standards and how many sperm are needed for IUIs here: https://www.cryobank.com/how-it-works/specimen-processing/specimen-information/

If you're doing IVF, only a small amount of sperm is needed. You can use any vial type for IVF. The only vials available for Donor 13708 at this point are IVF vials which contain less sperm than IUI & ICI vials. They are sold and shipped in pairs. Here's more info on IVF vials: https://www.cryobank.com/how-it-works/specimen-processing/specimen-information/

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help you and your husband grow your family.
