Trying for My Rainbow Baby This Month

Hey everyone. My wife and I have our IUI coming up this month. This will be our first time trying since my miscarriage in July. I suffered a missed miscarried at 15 weeks. It was devastating. I conceived on my first IUI and first attempt to get pregnant. I’m hoping to get pregnant again quickly, but this time I’m praying that I will have a successful pregnancy. Anyone else doing an IUI this month or trying for a rainbow baby? I’m excited but also nervous and a little scared to be pregnant again.

    Hi! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My wife and I also lost our son at 15.5 weeks. It is the hardest thing I have ever needed to overcome, and don't believe I ever fully will. He will forever be a part of our family and we both hold him close in our hearts!

    We are very lucky that we are expecting our little girl almost a year later after losing our son! He was born last April and we are due with our daughter this April. We are still holding our breath at 28 weeks, but staying hopeful and enjoying each moment!

    Did your doctor recommend more testing for you? We had a consultation with a Maternal Fetal Specialist and Geneticist, they couldn't find a reason for us to lose our little boy, but have been watching our daughter very closely! We celebrated when we reached and passed 15.5 weeks! At 21 weeks (since they were measuring the cervix every month) they noticed that mine was opening, which could have been why we lost our son too. Since they caught it in time I was able to have a cerclage to hold her in!

    Keep your chin up and stay hopeful! When you get your positive again hopefully they can watch you closely too!
