water bath thaw

I am having my OBGYN do the insemination and he has never had a cryobank ship to him before for the IUI insemination. I was told that to thaw the vial a water bath and thermometer is needed. By "water bath" is this just verbage of how it is thawed and they will be fine with a sink and container, or is there an actual item that they need to have to thaw the vials, that only fertility clinics have, and I will not be able to have my OB perform the IUI?

    A water bath is just a container of water. No specialized equipment necessary to thaw the vial.
