laparoscopy experiences

Just wondering if other people have had a laparoscopy and what your experiences were.

I had one on Wednesday (4 holes, plus they removed a fibroid in my uterus and fixed a subseptum). They didn't go through my uterus (yay) so the doc said I'm good to try an IUI with my next cycle.

If you had one - did it mess up your cycle? Mine is very normal (28 days, usually ovulate between days 12 and 14).

I think I may actually be about to ovulate, even though they just did the surgery. (About to be TMI- just a warning). I've been bleeding lightly since the surgery, which is normal, but today it was very very eggwhitey (with blood, but still - VERY much like fertile cervical fluid). It was day 11, so it's around the time i usually see this. Is it possible that I'm still going to ovulate normally this month?

Also - to those who have had this surgery - when did you start to feel normal? I was feeling okay today so I went to Target... HUGE mistake. Feel like crap now.

I had a laparoscopy on 10/12. I was feelings better by the next day or so. My doctor found a cyst covering my left ovary, stage 4 endo, and a polyp. I bled lightly for one week and then got my period on time this past Thursday. I am planning to do in vitro in Dec.

I had my laparoscopy on 10/05/10, I bleed lightly for a couple of days and actually started my period on 10/09. It was a little early, supposed to start 10/12, but not by much. I'm the same as you, regular 28 day cycle. They removed my endo (this being the second time) and also they found a cyst hanging from my fallopian tube and also a cyst inside my left ovary. They removed both. They gave me the clear to try again, I was inseminated 10/22 and will find out this Friday if it took! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, this 2 week wait is killing me! This was my 4th IUI, so hopefully it works! Good luck to you!

Wow good luck ssjp01! fingers crossed for you!

I feel like crap. I tried to go back to work this morning and gave up about an hour into it and called for an afternoon sub (I teach). Hoping I feel normal soon!

I hope you feel better soon! I was down for about 4 days, luckily I had the whole week off from work. Once you are healed you will feel a lot better! Gaood luck to you in the future! BABY Dust!
