Has anyone had success with injectables when they didn’t have success with Clomid?

    Hi Teachbme,

    We have done 1 IUI with Clomid and are thinking about switching to injectables or doing a combination of both.

    Did it take you several tries to get pregnant?

    I did 3 rounds with no drugs (stupid me!), then 2 rounds with 50mg of clomid, then the last cycle was 100mg clomid, injectibles, and the hcg trigger shot...and it worked!

    Hi! I've done five rounds unmedicated, and the doctor didn't seem to think there was anything unusual about that. However, she seems like she was hedging when I asked about Clomid because she said the chances of having twins increases.

    Can you please clarify the benefits of Clomid as opposed to an unmedicated IUI?

    My partner did three rounds of increasing doses of Clomid with no success. We got our BFP on our first round of Clomid and Bravelle. I hear the same story over and over too. Clomid and Injectibles work very well together but your chances of multiples are something like 30%. we don't know yet if that's the case for us. First U/S is scheduled for first week of Sept.

    I agree with the others. I've only used letrozole so far since it seems to work better with pcos. I wish I would have done a combo with injectables a lot sooner. My next IUI will be the letrozole/injectable combo. It's exciting and scary to read how many have had success with using a combo.

    We too used a hybrid cycle of clomid and bravelle and got BFP on our first cycle with it. We had 2 cancelled cycles and 2 failed IUI's prior to our successful IUI.

    We are firm believers in the clomid/bravelle cycle

    I'll be doing a hybrid cycle with 5 days of 100mg clomid followed by 2 300iu shots of follistim. All this hybrid talk has my hopes up that this is it!!!
