Low volume, count and motility

My partner was inseminated for the first time with an IUI specimen from CCB today.

The lab report indicated that after thawing the sperm count was 4.6 million, the motility was low at 37 percent, and the sample itself was low at only .4 ml.


We are hoping for the best, as our Doctor recommended CCB, but are alarmed at the low numbers.

    I am sorry about your numbers. You have every right to be surprised by them. They are indeed significantly below our guarantee. I will hope for the best for you both, but if in fact your partner does not end up getting pregnant you should definitely contact Melonee at mevans@cryobank.com to discuss the credit for your vial. Your results are unusual and I am confident your next vial will have much better numbers.
