  • is it safe to do it at home ive researched it and its just like doing it normal?
    and suggestions?
  • Hi,
I did mine at home and I got pregnant on the first try. CCB doesn't offer insemination kits, but NWAC (www.nwcryobank.com)out of Spokane, WA does. I ordered my specimen from CCB and an insemination kit from NWAC.

It is perfectly safe to do at home. Just follow the instructions.

You're supposed to wait 12-24 hours after you ovulate before inseminating, but since sperm live for 5 days once you have inseminated I inseminated as soon as I tested positive on a clear blue easy otk. You're supposed to keep your legs elevated for a little while afterwards, but I did it for hours. Probably made no difference, but I did!

CCB insists that you provide proof that you have seen a doctor before attempting insemination so since you have to go to a doctor to get the paperwork filled out you could discuss any questions you may have.

Just take some time and test yourself each month to pinpoint your ovulation times exactly.

    Hope this helps!;)
