BFP with 11937

I have waited a long time to write these words but I finally got a BFP! I found out last friday and my numbers have been consistently rising.

Hang in there if you are in process. It took me 3 unsuccessful IUI's and 1 IVF but it finally worked.

  • Hi dharmabum,
Congratulations!!!!!! Things are going well so far. I just had my first ultrasound and everything was fine. Heartrate of 117. I go back again next friday for a repeat and a meeting with my RE and then they will discharge me back to my OB. I am very cautious because I am 41. I have a lot of nausea during the day but bread seems to be the trick for that. My breasts are finally starting to feel like part of me again. lol

I am so excited but again trying to be cautious.

How are you feeling? Are you having any symptoms? If you don't mind me asking, what state do you live in? I live in Massachusetts.

    Be well,
    Marge
  • Congratulations Marge! My name is Jennifer and I saw that you live in Mass. Where about? I am in Boston and am about to have my 1st IUI next week. I almost chose your donor but went with someone else. I would love to chat more. My email address is Jennifer7170@msn.com if interested. It's great to have others support, esp when we are going through this as a single mom.
  • Hi dharmabum,

I am sorry your ultrasound didn't go as well as you hoped. I have heard of that happening. I think it's a good sign that you still have your symptoms. I too, would've waited the extra week to make sure that enough time had passed and have a better chance at seeing the heartbeat.

My repeat ultrasound went well. We saw a heartrate of 163. It's very exciting and much easier to see the further along you are. I am still feeling nauseus on and off throughout the day and still very tired. Not complaing at all though - well worth it!
So do you go back in the week of thanksgiving? I will be thinking and praying for great results for you at this appointment. Hang in there! Keep me posted.
    Marge
  • Jamie,

I am so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. It is so hard to go through this process to have it end this way. I am so happy to hear that you are going to try again when you are ready. Take the time you need to heal, physically, mentally and emotionally. It is such a loss. You'll know when the time is right.

I have been discharged from my RE and I will be going in on thursday for an ultrasound in my ob's office. I see my ob next friday.

Please keep me posted as I will be thinking of you.

    Marge
  • Congrats, and good luck to all
  • Just wanted to say hi and congrats to Marge. I remember posting back and forth a while ago and am so glad to be reading now of your BFP. Feeling sick early on can be a good sign that all is progressing as it should!

I'm now 37 weeks pg with this donor, so I should be meeting my little one any day.

I'm not sure how much I'll be on here but I'll try to check back at least once to see if you've updated. I will post on the sibling registry here and at dsr, org, both of which are a little more private, so maybe we can keep in touch there?

Sending everyone reading this lots of baby dust!
