Anyone starting the 2ww? I had my 4th IUI yesterday (Friday). Just want to know I am not waiting alone!

    I'm not in the 2ww but I just wanted to wish you luck! I'll be here to listen.
    Did you do injectables this time or clomid/trigger? I'm going in for my 4th try next month.

    I did clomid (100 mg) and the trigger. All of my tests were good before we started this process, so I think my doctor was taking it easy on me with the medication...The drs seem to not be concerned that this is my fourth time....They said after 6 we make have to consider another donor or try other options. If it doesn't work this time, my dr said she will have me take clomid and the day after I finish that I will take a shot (she didn't tell me the name) then the trigger 36 hrs before the IUI. I will say she helped put me at ease because she said, its only been possible for you to get pregnant since may (that is when we did our first IUI), so really you have been ttc for 4 months...I know it sounds strange but don't forget the 2 years of ttc you've been through....Just look at the 4 months that it has been possible. I will say my Dr saying that has really helped.....so I am optimistic this time it will work.

    my 2ww will be up on this friday but I wanted to post because it is my forth IUI and I wanted to share a few things I did 50mg of clomid this month all my blood work was great and did the Ovidrel trigger shot and Back to back IUI's and then I have been taking Progesterone pills from the time I had the IUI's done on August 13 and 14 and so far so good I am hopeing that the 4th time will be the charm for all of us!! This process has been so trying good luck to all of you and I will let you know if there is any good news and I hope there will be for you too! ( O YEAH I am also taking Geritol Complete as my vitamin

    I'm also on my 3rd 2ww...i have my fingers crossed for all of us. I'm only 7dpIUI so i have another week or more to wait. I'm really hoping this acupuncture and disgusting progesterone suppositories work!

    Ms M....any word? Today is 12dpIUI for me - or 11th - depending if we count the day of it or not. Regardless, I'm waiting till Fri to test.

    ok, so according to my dr, today is actually day 12. I took a HPT, and it was negative. Isn't that late for a negative?.. i mean, it IS Day 12. I have no pregnancy symptoms either - but not everyone gets those either, right? Anyone test this late, get a negative, and still be preg?

    Well, AF showed up hours after I tested negative. The worst part is that i truly believed that I was preg. We did everything we could that cycle (prog, acupuncture, etc). As deflated as we were, our dr's won't let us be. We were out of samples, and don't have money to do more - but our dr's won't take that answer either. SO...we're taking out another little loan and starting again. As far as they know - with all the tests i've taken, i have no known fertility issues - so they want me to keep trying. I have another week to go before I do an u/s to see how my follies are. So..onto IUI #4 soon....

    Here we go again. Had IUI #4 today. Had the best sperm count and best follicle size so far. Keeping my fingers crossed! Anyone starting their 2ww with me?

    Wow, dharmabum- my dr's are very proactive. I don't know if it's because i'm 35 or not. After one failed attempt, they had me take the Ovidrel shot. I'm also on femara and have been every month. They do ultrasounds on me at least twice a month -- one on the 10th day and one on the day of the insem. This past time, i went day 9, saw the follicles weren't ready, and went again day 11. They had me do an OKP only the first month. I had a hard time telling, so that was the end of that for them - they don't want us guessing so much. By my 3rd try, they've had me do progesterone and encouraged me to do acupuncture. By this 4th one, i'm still doing acupuncture, and they are trying Crinone - a more natural progesterone. If this one doesn't work, they want to be even more proactive and have me get done a laser laporascopy (sp?). Before they begin ANY IUI's , you have to have a dye test done, etc. So...if you don't feel your place is doing all of this, you might want to question it. Getting pregnant is quite a science. You want people working with you who are very proactive....

    Shelly and Dharmabum,

    I had my 5th IUI on Saturday, 9/18. So 5 days down and more to go. Shelly I did the dye test before I started all of these IUIs and I am all clear....it isn't too painful...just cramping. Best of luck to you both!

    I'll be joining you soon. If the follie check goes well on Sunday (CD 13) I should be having my IUI Monday morning.
    Shelleykry- since you are taking femara as well I'm curious what cycle day did you have your IUI on?

    Don't stress about it. It helps (since I've had 5) to try and "forget" you did anything. Stay BUSY!!! It will help keep your mind off of the whole thing!Best of luck!

    Gingy - sorry i haven't emailed you back, btw. I'm still doing acupuncture - but only one day a week. On femara, i usually get my IUI done on day 13 or 14. This time was day 13 (wed). I took the Ovidrel shot on day 11. At insem, the follicle was 25mm - which was pretty good they said - the biggest it's been thus far. My lining was at 9.2 and tmc on sperm was 53 mil! I started crinone (progesterone) this morning - thank god because i was bleeding a little since wed. As soon as i took it today, the bleeding stopped.
    Crystal - how do we deal with the 2ww...? stay busy like SAM said. This is my 4th IUI. Good luck to everyone....

    Wow shelley! That is a great sperm count! Your lining and follie size sound great too! I'm doing acupuncture this time around as well. Did you see the acupuncturist the day of your IUI? Mine wants me to come in early that morning before it. I don't know if I can swing it.

    Good luck Crystal! I hope your 2ww goes by fast. Like Sam said, just try to forget about it. Easier said than done I know.

    Well I'm officially in the 2ww again! I had one follie at 22 mm and my lining was 7. I'm using estrogen patches to help with the lining. Sperm count was 17 million.

    Gingy- good luck! I'm only 6 days in - I have another week to go...
    Dharmabum - You really need to find someone else. Are you going to a fertility clinic? If that's the only one around, try calling different obgyn's. I say that b/c my obgyn also does what my fertility dr does. She's a fertility specialist obgyn- and I didn't even know. It's worth a shot, right? More definitely needs to be done for you. I mean, not that i'm a dr or anything - but i look at all the things my dr is doing for me - and well...although nothing has taken thus far, I feel that every step IS being taken. Good luck.     I'm on day 3 of my first 2ww. Is watery cm a good sign? Has anyone else had this and then had a BFP?

    Hi Ladies. I am on the 2nd day of my first 2ww. Just wanted to say hi. I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for a progesterone test. Sending you lots of baby dust and prayers.

    I'm at day 16 dpiui have taken three hpts and all came back negative and no sighn of AF ...I'm supposed to have blood work done on the forth..i feel likes its over or maybe i tested early? what do you gals think?

    dharmabum- I'm sorry to hear about your BFN. I agree with Shelley- I think you need to find another doctor. You need a RE that is more proactive. My RE wouldn't let me use an OPK for any of my IUI's. Mine have all been monitored via ultrasounds.
    cbmann- Welcome to your first 2ww. I think watery cm is a good sign. Good luck! Keep us posted.
    tnc- Hi! I hope your 2ww is relaxing and goes by fast!
    mariamr- I say its not over until AF rears her ugly head. Don't give up hope!
    AFM: I'm at 5 dpIUI. I had some odd cramping yesterday and the day before but it didn't last very long. Praying for all of us!

    Mariamr... what did you find out??
    I just finished my TWW with a BFP!!! It took 4 IUI's, two different progesterones, acupuncture once a week for 2 months, femara, and the Ovidrel shot -- but it finally worked and was well worth it. I don't feel ANY different - in fact, I have a hard time believing it's real. I guess I'll feel more confident after an ultrasound and my bloodwork.

    Omg shelley! That is great news! Congrats! I hope I'm as lucky with my 4th try. I'm only at 9 dpIUI and time is going by so slow.
    Is today 14 dpIUI for you?

    Good luch gingy! Yes, today is 14dpIUI...and unfortunately, i didn't detect anything until yesterday. I hpt'd day 11- nothing. Day 12 - SUPER faint line - prob really nothing. Day 13 - still faint line. ( I used all Dollar Store ones) Today though - Day 14 - I used the First Response test and it came up fast. :) I'll be thinking about ya!
