Anissa, Thanks for the encouragement and information! And congrats to you! That is so awesome. I will definately keep up with the acupuncture and have let them know my fertility issues, so we are really working on that.

sbarnie-thanks for the info. What day does your doc do the test? My doc told me to test two weeks after iui, then I call them and they will do a blood test. That means I can test this Saturday! :-)
I've just had my first dr visit yesterday. Almost like tunnel vision for a moment. I'm 32 and still single... Can't just Waite around and then I feel I'll age out. What if I want two or three kids. I'm so glad there are more single ladies out there, this is very exciting and I am excepting to all advise.
Hi everyone. I have had the worst Friday. I got my period this morning and I'm so disappointed. I called my doc and am going in for a baseline ultrasound on Monday morning. (still not sure why I have to have another one of these every time my cycle starts, then again on day 12. If all goes well, I will be getting my 2nd IUI on September 20th. Praying already! :-)
So sorry, SeattleSuz and sgee. :-( It didn't happen the first time for me, either, but it all worked out in the end. Here's to BFPs for both of you on IUI number two!
Thanks for the encouragement eeh876, and sorry to hear your news sgee! No matter how 'laid back' we try to be and set our expectations that this can take awhile, it's easy to obsess and not be disappointed when it doesn't work out. Now that I see how much time and effort (emotional and financial!) it takes each month (and I've only attempted 1 month!), I can really empathize with everyone. Just know that you have a support system here and women going through the same journey-- up and down! Hang in there :)
Sorry to hear it did not work SeattleSuz and Sgee. It is easy to obsess. The first month I tried I was looking online and thinking of decorations for the nursery lol. I had no idea it would take 6 tries. By the 3rd, I was much more relaxed about it and the 2ww was getting better. Just hang in there. It will work out:)
