12699-any known births with genetic disorders?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant using donor 12699. I'm wondering if other children born from this donor have reported any genetic disorders or other diagnoses? Similarly, have there been any reported elective terminations of fetuses diagnosed in utero from this donor. I'm over 40 and cautiously optimistic.

  • Hi Lucky -

Congrats on your pregnancy! If you haven't done so already, please make sure to officially report your pregnancy to us. This allows us to contact you in the future if we receive information that indicates a specific risk for a medical problem in other offspring of that donor that might be relevant to your pregnancy/child.

There are no reports of medical problems in the pregnancies or children from this donor, but I encourage you to speak with one of our genetic counselors. They will be able to provide you with helpful information and they are here to assist you with your journey.

  • Hi Nicole-

Thank you! I've already reported my pregnancy on the site and spoke with one of the genetic counselors as well.

Should anything arise in the future with children from this donor that you are made aware of, you will contact people, correct? Even if its like in 10 years?

    Many thanks again!
  • Hi Lucky -

Yes, it is very important for all clients to keep CCB informed of any changes in their contact information so that we can inform you about any significant medical information that could be relevant to your child's health.

    Best of luck!
