Our donor has always had great counts so we were surprised to find this last vial was below the minimum. My RE filed out paperwork and faxed it over but do I need to do anything?

It usually takes a couple weeks for the report to be reviewed and processed. I would suggest touching base with Melonee at ext. 1240 just to make sure she received the faxed report from your RE.

You can find more information about our specimen guarantee here: http://www.cryobank.com/Why-Use-Us/Specimen-Quality-Standards/
Basically, after the thawing process there should be a minimum of 15 million motile sperm for ICI Premium vials and 10 million motile sperm for IUI Premium vials. There can be variations based on different counting methods, but if your RE/lab encounters specimen that they deem substandard, they can fax us a specimen report form so we can review it.
